Within the area of research and development, RIEMSER Arzneimittel AG cooperates closely with renowned research institutes of international standing as well as universities, colleges and clinics both in Germany and throughout Europe. RIEMSER holds in excess of 70 established patents and others that are currently under application and has been issued with more than 460 licences for medical preparations at home and abroad.

In addition, 40 clinical surveys on the LifeCycleManagement of established RIEMSER preparations and 36 post-marketing surveys (phase IV) have been completed or are currently being finalised. Pre-clinical investigations on New Chemical Entity (NCE) are being carried out in conjunction with actinic keratosis indication as part of a BMBF-funded nanotechnology project. The company employs 60 of a staff in research, development and quality assurance. Over the coming years, the Company will continue to invest 10 to 15 per cent of its turnover in LifeCycleManagement and new projects.
